UKFOUNDIT USA
Privacy Policy
Effective: 14 September 2026
In short: UKFoundIt is a product-discovery website. We collect only the limited information needed to operate the site, remember your choices, respond to emails, and—only with your permission—measure site use.
1. Who we are
UKFoundIt operates this website from the United Kingdom for visitors in the United States and elsewhere. For privacy questions, email ukfounditcom@gmail.com.
2. Information we may collect
- Technical and security information: hosting systems may record IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, and similar server-log data.
- Your site choices: the site may store your language and cookie-consent preferences in your browser.
- Messages you send: if you email us, we receive your email address and anything you include in the message.
- Optional analytics: analytics data will be collected only if an analytics service is enabled and you actively choose “Allow analytics.” No optional analytics service is currently enabled on this staging website.
3. Why we use information
- To deliver, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website.
- To remember choices you make on the site.
- To reply to enquiries and keep necessary correspondence records.
- To understand general site performance if you consent to optional analytics.
Where UK data-protection law applies, we rely on legitimate interests for basic operation, security, improvement, and responding to ordinary enquiries; consent for optional analytics; and steps requested before entering a contract where relevant.
4. Affiliate links and other websites
When you select a retailer link, you leave UKFoundIt. The retailer or affiliate network may receive information from your browser and use its own cookies or tracking under its own privacy policy. UKFoundIt does not control a third party’s website, checkout, account, payment, delivery, or privacy practices.
5. Who may receive information
Limited information may be processed by service providers that support hosting, security, communications, and—if enabled with consent—analytics. Affiliate retailers and networks receive information when you choose to follow their links. We do not sell your personal information.
6. International processing
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data-protection law requires it, we expect providers to use a lawful transfer mechanism and suitable safeguards. Third-party retailers are independently responsible for their own processing.
7. How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, legal obligations, security, or dispute handling. Routine enquiry emails are normally deleted within 24 months after the matter is closed unless there is a reason to retain them longer. Hosting and security logs follow the relevant provider’s operational retention periods. Any analytics retention period will be documented before analytics is enabled.
8. Your choices and rights
You can use Cookie Settings to change optional analytics consent. Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights to ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent. Email ukfounditcom@gmail.com to make a request.
UK visitors may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). US state privacy rights vary; we will assess a verified request under the law that applies.
9. Children
UKFoundIt is a general-audience product-discovery site and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can address it.
10. Security and updates
We use reasonable organisational and technical measures appropriate to this website, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy when the site, providers, or law changes. The effective date above will show the latest revision.
